Do parents communicate effectivly with there teens?

I believe that the problem between parents and teenagers communication is that, teens and parents can't find ways to relate to eachother. It is sometimes hard to find the same interests between to different generations. In the book Romeo and Juliet, Juliet has troubles with her parents because she has fallen in love with Romeo. This causes conflict because Capulet has arranged for Juliet to marry another man, but Juliet has already went off and already married Romeo. Romeo in the Capulet's is one of the worst things possible because his family and Juliet's family have a constant a feud and Romeo has killed a member of the Capulet family. This shows that teenagers might have different views on life than there parents.
